Privacy Policy

1. Information we may process

Depending on which Shark features are enabled, Shark may process:

• Discord information: Discord user IDs, usernames/display names, avatar information, guild/server IDs, channel IDs, role IDs, permissions, and information needed to operate moderation, verification, logging, modmail, leveling, and dashboard features.
• Roblox information: Roblox user IDs, usernames, group IDs, group roles/ranks, and verification or membership information used by Roblox-related features.
• Server configuration: welcome/leave settings, moderation settings, logging destinations, modmail settings, verification settings, leveling settings, automation settings, and other configuration saved by a server administrator.
• Operational records: moderation cases, audit/log events, verification records, ticket/modmail information, backup snapshots, and other information generated by features you enable.
• Website and dashboard information: information needed to authenticate through Discord OAuth2, maintain a session, display servers you manage, and save dashboard configuration.
• Support information: information you choose to provide when contacting Shark support.

2. Messages and user-generated content

Some Shark features, such as moderation, message logging, modmail, or AI-assisted functionality, may process message content or other user-generated content when the bot has the required Discord access and the relevant feature is enabled. Shark should only use that information for the feature's stated purpose.

Server administrators are responsible for deciding whether to enable logging or other features that may process member content and for configuring their servers consistently with applicable laws and platform rules.

3. How information is used

• Provide and operate Shark's requested features.
• Verify Discord/Roblox account relationships and group membership where enabled.
• Apply moderation, security, logging, modmail, leveling, backup, and automation settings configured by authorized server administrators.
• Authenticate dashboard users and show the Discord servers they are authorized to manage.
• Provide support, troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, and protect Shark's infrastructure.
• Maintain, improve, and secure the service where permitted by applicable law and platform rules.

Shark does not intentionally collect Discord or Roblox passwords through its normal account-linking flow.

4. Third-party services

Shark relies on third-party services and APIs, which may include Discord, Roblox, hosting providers, analytics or infrastructure providers, authentication providers, AI providers, and other service providers needed to operate the service. Information may be transmitted to those providers only as needed for the relevant feature, infrastructure, security, or legal requirement.

Those providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Shark does not control third-party privacy practices.

5. AI features

If Shark's AI features are enabled, relevant prompts, messages, or moderation context may be sent to the AI provider used by Shark to generate a response or perform the requested feature. Do not use Shark's AI features to submit information you are not authorized to disclose.

6. Webhooks and external destinations

Shark may allow server administrators to configure Discord webhook URLs or other logging destinations. When enabled, Shark may send applicable log events to those destinations. The server administrator is responsible for the external service and should verify that the destination is trusted and appropriately configured.

7. Retention and deletion

Shark retains information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the requested functionality, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements. Actual retention can vary by feature and configuration.

You may request deletion of personal information that Shark controls by contacting Shark through the official support server. We may need to verify the request and may retain information where required or permitted by law or where necessary for security, fraud prevention, or legal claims.

8. Security

Shark uses reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so users should avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive information and should protect their own account credentials, bot tokens, API keys, and webhooks.

9. Children's privacy

Shark is not designed to request passwords or sensitive information from children. Use of Discord and Roblox is also subject to the age and consent requirements of those platforms and applicable law. If you believe Shark has received information that should not have been collected, contact support so it can be reviewed.

10. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or other processing of your personal information. You can also remove Shark from a Discord server, disconnect an integration where available, disable optional features, or request deletion by contacting support.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Shark's data practices or legal requirements change. The latest version will be posted on this page with its effective date. Continued use of Shark after an update means you acknowledge the updated policy to the extent permitted by law.
